latest news ! my podcast is ready !

Well , you can't say that you're bombarded by notes from me ;)

I'm afraid I'm going to repeat myself once again , thus giving the impression that I'm still giving the same old story again and again, but, well ,  yes,  I've been quite busy with some other things that have kept me away from my blog-writing.

But I think I've used my time well.

And first and foremost, I have launched my website dedicated to learning and teaching English as a second language.

 Feel free to check it out and send me your comments ! Pupils and teachers can download applications to practise English irregular verbs, English phonetics , and also subscribe to my podcast for esl students and  !! 

A podcast is like a radio programme  with an edge : you can  subscribe to it and listen to each "episode" at your convenience ! I've decided to go for a bilingual podcast to help you understand more easily...just like this blog actually !

The podcast page will guide you through subscribing to the podcast ;  I highly recommend that you choose the "subscribe via feedburner" option. There are issues however with mozilla firefox so if you have this browser I recommend the following methods : 

 

1) itunes. If you have it on your pc , go to the podcast page  and find my podcast which is entitled : my notebook speaks.

Then simply subscribe to it ! As easy as abc !

2) download a podcast reader on your computer ( there are plenty of them  , personally I use ziepod )  ,then, once installed , use it to subscribe to my podcast by entering the "address" for the podcast : ( see below )

 Et voila !  ( English people do use this French expression btw ( by the way )  )

Au risque de me répéter et de donner l'impression que je radote, je dois dire que oui,  un certain nombre de choses m'ont tenu à l'écart de mon blog.

Mais je n'ai pas perdu de temps pour autant ! 

Et tout d'abors, j'ai lancé mon site web consacré à l'apprentissage de l'anglais !

 N'hésitez pas à jeter un oeil et m'envoyer vos commentaires ! ! Elèves et profs peuvent télécharger des applications pour travailler les verbes irréguliers, la phonétique , et aussi s'abonner au podcast dédié aux débutants en aglais !

Un podcast ressemble à une émission radio mais a les avantages suivants :  vous pouvez vous abonner et écouter chaque émission à votre convenance !  J'ai choisi la formule bilingue pour vous faciliter la tâche en compréhension...un peu comme pour ce blog en fait !

La page "podcast" du site web vous guidera  à travers les étapes d'inscription, , je vous conseille d'utiliser la méthode " s'inscrire via ma page feedburner. il y a cependant quelques soucis avec le navigateur firefox, donc si vous l'utilisez je vous recommande d'utiliser les alternatives suivantes :

Well , here I am ... again ! 

Still grounded on my island , that's why you can't hear from me  as often as I'd like to !! But setting an Internet broadband connection on a desert island is no easy task !

I actually have to wait till a plane hovers by the island to get a wifi connection to it,   check messages / send messages ( this one for instance )  , surf on my favourite websites to get  an update of the news and so on and so forth...

I should get an award for managing all these things in the blink of an eye !

 

Ok, I was kidding you again  ( yeah I KNOW that you KNEW that already ! ) ! Reunion Island is not exactly the embodiment or  illustration of what a desert island is supposed to be.

 Now, populous as it may be, it can occasionally shroud you in a vague feeling of isolation though...

but i'll get back to it later !

p.s Can't wait for that what's-its-name - ( Hey Tom Hanks ! Any idea ? ) express carrier to pass by again !!

Salut c'est encore moi !

Toujours échoué sur mon île, ce qui explique pourquoi je ne donne pas de nouvelles aussi souvent que je voudrais !  

 Mais établir une connexion internet  à haut débit sur une île déserte n'est pas chose facile !

En fait je dois attendre qu'un avion survole l'île, afin d'établir une connexion en wifi ,  vérifier et envoyer mes messages ( celui-ci, par exemple )  ,surfer sur mes sites préférés pour être au courant des dernières infos, etc.

Et tout ça en un clin d'oeil : je mériterais une médaille !

 

Ok, je vous faisais marcher !  ( oui, je SAIS que ce n'était pas la peine de vous le dire ) 

L'île de la Réunion ne correspond pas vraiment à l'idéee que l'on se fait d'une île déserte. 

Quoique... bien que très peuplée , l' île sait vous envahir d'un sentiment d'isolement, de temps à autre..

...mais j'y reviendrai plus tard !

Merry Christmas to you all !!

When it comes to celebrating Christmas, being an islander can give you an edge or put you at a disadvantage :

"Let is snow let it snow let it snow" rings oddly when your island is located at a latitude that only sports 30 ° C at this time of year ! That's just one of the disadvantages.... :)

 

Now for the good sides : the island  is less prone to being influenced by foreign customs and traditions in the way Chritmas celebrations take place, so Christmas comes with its own flavour and colour : the Yule log is ok,  why oh it tastes so much better with lychees all around !! That was just one of the advantages !!!

Yum ! Some more lychees to go and I'm back soon !
